Amber Perkins
Amber A. Perkins was born and raised in Norwich New York, where she started her dance training. She continued on to study dance at the University of Brockport and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She received her BFA in Dance and also her BS in economics. Amber performed professional her self for three years before opening her own performing arts school. This school would evolve into a highly acclaimed place to study. Dancers would travel across country to train and perform. Perkins School of the Arts was home to now several professional dancers, models, actors/actress, and educators all under the guidance of Amber's love and passion for the arts. You can find her dancers in professional companies such as Alvin Ailey, Pilobolus and Garth Fagan, just to name a few. She has also scene her students perform on Broadway and TV, become fitness models and yes doctors and lawyers too! Perkins School of the Arts has won multiple national titles and excellence in choreography world wide.
In 2001 Amber started her own professional dance company Phoenix Project dance were she is currently the artistic director. She won the very prestigious Elan award for excellence in choreography and the company took off. Attracting dancers from all over the United States and Cananda to audition. The company would begin touring all over the US, Canada and Europe.
Amber prides herself on educating all passionate performers and helping each performer reach their dreams. She is very blessed to have been surrounded by some of the most talented, driven and loving people as her dreams came true. Now she is so excited to help pave the way for the up and coming futures of so many talented performers.
